What is Schoology? Schoology is a learning management system that we use for our students in grades 1 – 12. We upload the curriculum for our elementary, middle, and high school classes into Schoology. In addition, we use Schoology to communicate school updates to all parents of elementary – high school age students. (Montessori teachers communicate those updates to the parents of their students.)
Student Use of Schoology – Your child has his or her own login for the system. When your child logs in (cfprep.schoology.com), he or she can access the textbooks and supplemental materials for each course. Students can (and do) submit much of their work electronically through this system. Teachers post homework and updates for the students through Schoology.
Parent Use of Schoology – Parents also receive login credentials; in addition, they can download a free Schoology app to any smart phone. Teachers post all homework to a digital calendar. If parents have the app on their phones, they will receive alerts for updates posted by teachers and for anything added to the calendar. Parents may also keep track of student grades by using the system.
Schoology Questions – If you have any questions about this learning management system, or if you need your login credentials, please contact Sandy Gomez. Her email is email@example.com.
We follow the Orange County Public School guidelines for school closures due to imminent storms. If we have a hurricane approaching, we will notify you of a school closure via our Alert Now system, Schoology, and our website postings. If you see media coverage announcing OCPS school closings, know that we are also closed.
