Sherri graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She taught at the elementary school level in Key West for three years and in Ocala for six years. While taking time off to be with her children, Sherri tutored children in kindergarten through sixth grade at Sylvan Learning Center, taught children involved in the Horse Show Circuit who were wintering in Ocala, and instructed preschoolers in her home. Sherri joined CFP in 2002. She enjoys swimming, bicycling, scrap booking, singing, and being with her family – husband Rick, and her children, Steven and Kristina.
Amy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Southeastern University, and holds certifications for Prek-3, DCF, and ESOL (English as a Second Language). She is a sports enthusiast and active parent of three who joined the CFP teaching family in 2010 after eight years as an Elementary teacher in Orange County.
Maria has been teaching since 1993, and joined the CFP family in 2014. She specializes in ESOL (English as a Second Language) and Spanish instruction. Maria was born in Colombia, but raised in California, and brings her multicultural perspective of language immersion to the classroom. We are so happy to welcome her into the 2nd grade classroom.
Kim earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and psychology along with a Master of Education degree in elementary education from the University of Central Florida. She worked in preschool and Montessori instruction before joining the CFP family in 2016. Kim’s daughters are current students at CFP where they enjoy the same low student-teacher ratio that attracted her as an educator.
Amy was born and raised in Florida. She graduated from Kaplan University with honors and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Juvenile Justice. Amy has worked as a preschool teacher for nine years and was a permanent substitute teacher for West Orange High School teaching Intermediate Algebra, Environmental Science, ESE students with special needs and Reading. Amy joined CFP in 2015 and is working on a Master’s Degree in Education. Amy enjoys to spend quality time with her husband and four children. She enjoys traveling to beaches, farms, and any historical site.
Colleen is a Brooklyn native whose children have attended CFP since 2008. She began her teaching career in 2001 guided by the belief that each child develops differently, and has their own unique style of learning. Colleen joined the CFP family as a teacher in 2014. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and holds certifications in dyslexia therapy, special education needs, and sign language along with her Florida Child Care Professional Credential.
